For all three drive-thru and all three dine-in fish fry’s combined, we served 1,710 meals. This raised nearly $15,000 for the various charitable donations we make throughout the year to support our brothers and sisters in need, including:
- Outreach (providing food and clothing),
- Bayard House (providing a place to live for homeless, pregnant and/or newly parenting adolescents, young women, and their babies),
- Door of Hope (fostering the Right to Life by encouraging women to keep their babies through education and ultrasound screening),
- Little Sisters of the Poor (caring for our low income seniors in their final years),
- SJB School (tuition assistance for our families needing some help), and others.

Coats for Kids – November 2023
John Ehlers led a successful campaign to receive donated coats and donate to needy area children. The goal of the Coats for Kids program is to ensure that no
child in North America goes without a coat during the winter season. As Joe Koskol summarized:
“The results of our Council’s first year conducting a Coats for Kids program has proven wildly successful… We collected in total 262 coats and $1929 in cash donations. Everyone providing coats and cash donations this weekend were very happy to participate, with many saying we need to do this every year…
Great job John in proposing, organizing, and leading this program for our council. Your work is very commendable.”
