Our Lady Queen of Peace Statue

The 34 foot
tall, 8,700 lb. statue of Mary by Wilmington sculptor Charles Parks was
dedicated on
May 26,
by Bishop Michael A. Saltarelli.  This tribute to Our Blessed
Mother started with small meetings in the fall of 1999 and is now a reality for
ours and future generations.  It is a blessed and historic landmark.
The statue is located on the south side of Holy Spirit Parish grounds at 12
Winder Road, New Castle, Delaware 19720.  It is clearly visible to
motorists coming over the Delaware Memorial Bridge from New Jersey.  Visit
this Delaware shrine and be inspired by Our Lady reaching out to the world.
